Semifinals #2 featuring Dreamwright, Emi Meyer, Left at the Castle and Natalie Portman's Shaved Head. KEXP presents Sound Off! the Pacific Northwest's largest battle of the bands for musicians 21 and under. Over the first three Saturdays in February, twelve semifinalists representing an array of musical genres will go head to head, with winners advancing to finals on February 24th. The last band standing wins studio time, a Bumbershoot gig, and much more. Tickets are $7.00 for EMP Members and students (with valid student ID), $10.00 for the public. KEXP’s Greg Vandy and Grand Marshall Reverend Spenser Hoyt, will provide New Orleans music and traditional Carnival songs for an evening of dancing and debauchery. Experience the real feeling of Mardi Gras with kingcake, throws, beads, and dance to the funk of the Wild Magnolias, Professor Longhair, and the street sounds of New Orleans brass bands. A new Mardi Gras King & Queen will be crowned at midnight! The Second Line starts at 8pm. $5-10 Minimum Donation. Special Thanks to Borracchini Bakery and The Seattle Drum School. Proceeds from the night benefit KEXP.

I was looking around LiveJournal for a KEXP community and couldn't find any, so I decided to make one. Ta-dah! Or is it Ta-Dah? Either way, welcome.

What are the odds the first comment will be something along the lines of, "Actually, there is a KEXP community--you just couldn't find it"? D'oh!
